Family Check-in Services

Do you have a latchkey kid? Or an older adult you’re worried about during the day?

With Family Check-In Services – a free service that’s part of your EAP – you set up a phone schedule with a check-in consultant so your untended child or aging parent receives a phone call at regular, prescheduled times.

If your family member is not reached on the first phone call, the consultant tries two additional times, within a one-hour period for children or four-hour period for adults. If contact is not made during those attempts, emergency contacts designated by you are notified immediately.

  • Calls may be scheduled any time between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.
  • Service available directly in English or Spanish, or indirectly (via Language Link) in over 100 other languages).
  • When you register, you receive a safety kit with information on child and elder safety.
